Symmetry in Sympathy

Fri Nov 13, 2009, 8:02 PM
Humans travel in a loop, on several, many, if not all frequent occasions. I say this in the means of temptation towards relapse. I myself have noticed several problems that arise, disappear, and then rise up again, resurfacing into my ever wandering life. Several other humans follow this suit as well. It almost seems as though we never really outgrow our old probelms. We simply fit into new ones of the same color and shape, only a differnt size. Though we change from a 12 year old mind to a 12th grade mind does not mean that a boy's perverted mind, or a girl's lust for attention, or a parents oversecurity, or a mothers ignorance to her effect on her daughter, ever really changes. These things happen again and again, and we as humans either fail to acknowledge them, or simply commit to the old, "pity me", relapse message, "I'm trying, but nothing's working." The inaudible part to this is the mental conscience stating "oh well, try, try again, and if I fail, so be it, I'll just continue through life wearing this burden like a cement shoe. Sure it'll be harder but, hey, isn't that what makes you stronger?" The less audible part under this layer of thought is, "if it doesn't rip off my leg first." A tragic flaw is a trait in a character, usually the protaganist, that causes the downfall of the hero, in most cases being death. This can be anything from Vanity and excessive confidence and pride, to a phobia, or a sin and addiction that drives you into a slippery pit you can't crawl out of. There are occasions in our lives where we find ourselves in these messes, or find eachother. This is when sympathy and patience become key in a person's conscience in order to be a friend. This is how I've come to love my friends over the years. Most of them have heard my entreaty over my perverted sin countless times, and are still there to support me and offer advice, which I gratefully take, though it may not always take effect or settle quite effectivley, and this spawns a new trial and error effect. Men and Women alike have published books, websites, and all other sources of help to keep others out of these messes that they have experienced so that we don't simply loop around back to where we were again, but when we read these, we label the obvious, which credits our intelligence, and delete the "in between", which discredits our intelligence, and casues no further progress, since you "read what you already knew," which is true in both a literal sense and a moral/psychological sense. In closing, I simply ask that you heed the advice of elders and peers. Most times they can help, and action is the only path to salvation, as opposed to petty, empty hope. Shine today like no other!

Tom, the rambunctious, fun-loving, intelligent, bell-bottom pantsed dude from the "A Story about.." series, to which I am the author of. Yes, my name is Tommy, and yes, a lot of the characteristics that describe Tom describe me in real life, but I do not try to mean that in a cocky or senile way. I enjoy sketching both single framed pictures and multi-framed comics, along with writing stories and Journals, which I think of almost as lessons. Hope you enjoy the art work that I submit.

On an added note to all of the people who read or see what I create, I would like to say that I am many things. I am an author, a writer, a philosopher, a brother, a son, a friend, an artist, and above all, a person. No greater, or stronger, or wiser than any other human being on earth.

One things I find that they leave out in the Devious info is your weaknesses. What good are any of your strengths if you have no weaknesses, especially those that you are willing to state. Here are all of my weaknesses. I can be prideful, I can be a hypocrite (I am also bad at spelling), I can be angered at the wrong times or for the wrong reasons, when I am meant to be a leader I will sometimes act like I am the student, I am extremely attracted to women who do not exist (not in an obsessive way but an attracted way), and I over assume about myself too much.

For those of you who are confused, there are actually two versions of Tom/Tommy in my art. Tom is the one who you find in the "A Story about..." series, who is best friends with Sasha. Tommy is the person who you will see in all of my comics including the 5 awsomes. Tommy's best friend is Nigel, and all other specifications are stated in Damaeyexe Part 1. Thank you, and I hope that I cleared any confusion.
